The pack itself feels tough and well-made, but the shoulder harness just doesn’t work for me. It sits kind of awkwardly and starts rubbing after I wear it for a while, even after messing with the adjustments a bunch. I felt a little left in the dark trying to figure out if I was doing something wrong or if it just doesn’t fit my build. Maybe it works better for other people, but for the price, I expected it to feel more dialed in.

I reached out and still haven’t heard anything back. I wasn’t expecting this to turn into a whole stressful situation, but waiting around with no response has been really frustrating...

I took these on just a few hikes and the stitching already started coming loose. So yeah, really love when outdoor gear decides to unravel almost immediately. Not exactly what I was hoping for.

I really wanted to be into this pack, but it just didn’t carry the weight good for me. After I put in my usual day stuff and some water, it started pulling on my shoulders in a weird way, like the balance was not where it should be.
I messed with the straps a few times thinking maybe I had it set up wrong, but it still felt heavy in the wrong places. After a couple miles my neck and back were already getting cranky. Maybe it fits other people better, but for me it was just not comfortable.

I’m disappointed with my order. The zippers feel rough and don’t glide smoothly at all, and the hardware just doesn’t seem like it’s going to last very long. For the price, I really expected something that felt sturdier. What made it more frustrating was trying to get help and feeling like there was no actual human to talk to, just automated stuff. Maybe I got a bad one, but overall it doesn’t feel solid to me.

I really wanted to like their gear, some of it does seem solid. But the prices are just a bit much for what you’re getting. I found similar options from other brands that cost less and work just fine, so it’s hard to make the case for spending extra here. At the end of the day, if something cheaper gets the job done, that just makes more sense to me.

I thought everything was made in the USA, but that wasn’t really clear to me when I bought it. Finding that out left me disappointed, and I didn’t feel great about the purchase afterward.

I ordered one bag, but they send me a totally different color and size. I was expecting what I picked, so it’s kind of annoying when it arrive not even close to what I ordered.

I really like the idea behind Hill People Gear, and I was excited to check things out. But the stuff I actually wanted was hard to buy. A bunch of items were out of stock, and it wasn’t really clear when they’d be available again, which got frustrating fast. I also felt like some of the gear details were kind of buried, so I kept clicking around and clicking around just to find basic info. It’s not the worst experience, and I still like the brand, but the shopping part could definitely be smoother.

From what I remember, these started slipping down quickly, even on short walks. I kept having to adjust them, and after a little while they just felt uncomfortable. Not something I’d want to wear again.

I wanted to like this, but it starts hurting after carrying it for just a short time. I didn’t even have it on that long before it got uncomfortable, and that part was weird. Not great if you need to carry it around for more than a few minutes

I was disappointed with the build quality. The stitching started coming loose much faster than I expected, and now I have to deal with fixing it or going through the hassle of returning it. I really didn’t think it would take this much effort for something that should’ve just held up.

My order showed up in this super thin box with barely any padding, because apparently protection during shipping is optional now. One side of the box was totally crushed, and the bag already had scuffs on it before I even got to use it. For stuff that definitely isn’t cheap, the packaging felt careless. Maybe the gear itself is fine, but the first impression was not great. I wouldn’t order again unless they figure out how to pack things properly.

I really didn’t love the way the pockets are set up. Things either get buried or end up in the “wrong” spot, so it just feels kind of messy when I’m using it. For the price, I expected the organization to be a lot better.

I ordered a pack earlier this month and expected it to show up within a few days. After about a week, I still didn’t have much of an update, which got frustrating. The product itself was fine once it finally arrived, so I don’t really have any complaints there. It was mostly the long wait and slow shipping updates that made the experience a bit disappointing.

I took this pack out in the rain and was disappointed by how quickly water started getting through. I wasn’t expecting it to be completely waterproof, but it definitely didn’t hold up the way I thought it would. For the price, I feel like some kind of refund or replacement would be fair.
